All women Veterans deserve to understand the benefits that they have earned and deserve through their military service and to have access to resources that they need and can trust.
DIS worked with our client at the VA’s Office of Women’s Health, to refresh their website, womenshealth.va.gov, and make it a great starting place for women Veterans to learn more about VA and the services and benefits they may be eligible for.
This website refresh is the result of a year of work and listening to women Veterans. Last year, we hosted 9 insight and discussion sessions with women Veterans. We took care to ensure that the participants reflected the diversity of the women we serve, ranging in age from 21 to over 60 from every branch of service and diverse ethnic and racial backgrounds.
We refreshed every page to highlight information on the health concerns facing women Veterans. We made complex health care information easy to understand and even easier to act on. Each page shows a list of the services VA offers as well as ways women Veterans can access these services.
