Delivering Results That Matter: DIS Recognized for Advancing Client Missions

We are proud to announce that several recent projects have been recognized by the 2025 Hermes Creative Awards, affirming the measurable impact our work has made in support of federal and nonprofit partners. From elevating Veteran healthcare communications to strengthening nonprofit branding, each effort demonstrates our team’s dedication to helping clients achieve their missions through strategic storytelling, design, and outreach.

Enhancing Healthcare Clarity for Veterans — VA Office of Quality and Patient Safety

Our design and production of the 2023–2024 Quality and Patient Safety Impact Report helped the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) clearly communicate complex healthcare initiatives in plain language to internal and external stakeholders. This was the first time the report included a Veteran audience. The report received top honors for its effectiveness in making critical information both accessible and visually engaging. For this work, we were awarded the highest recognition—a Platinum Award.

Representing Veterans in Health Research — VA Million Veteran Program

To support representation in health research, DIS conducted a photoshoot spotlighting Pacific Islander and Native Hawaiian Veterans for the Million Veteran Program (MVP). The striking portraits brought visibility to underrepresented groups in health research and helped broaden the reach and relevance of MVP’s mission. Through compelling imagery and storytelling, we can better represent the varied health, wellness, and lifestyles of Veterans in health research and communications. For this work, we were awarded a Gold Award.

Strengthening Advocacy Through Cohesive Event Branding — VA Office of Patient Advocacy

DIS supported the Office of Patient Advocacy’s national conference with a unified branding campaign that amplified the event’s impact. We delivered an integrated suite of materials—including presentations, virtual backgrounds, and promotional assets—to ensure a consistent and professional presence across all touchpoints. The result: 48+ innovative sessions, 87 inspiring speakers, and over 600 attendees. Our work on this event was recognized with a Gold Award, underscoring the power of cohesive branding to elevate mission-driven initiatives.

Empowering Non-Profit Organizations with High-Impact Branding — Bainum Family Foundation

For Ace Academy, an initiative of the Bainum Family Foundation, DIS developed comprehensive brand guidelines to enable consistent application of the Academy’s visual identity. The result is a strong, purpose-driven guide that supports long-term success at any scale. An Honorable Mention for this work is deeply meaningful to us.

These projects are a testament to the trust our clients place in us and the meaningful outcomes we create together. We extend our congratulations to our partners and team members who brought these initiatives to life—your work continues to make a difference.
