Dynamic Integrated Services Appoints Smith as New COO

Jeffrey H. Smith to advance strategic direction and growth of the firm

March 22, 2021 (Falls Church, Va.) – Dynamic Integrated Services (DIS), a CVE verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) government consultancy, announced today that Jeffrey H. Smith, PMP, has been appointed chief operating officer effective March 1, 2021. He is responsible for leading the company in contract delivery and client satisfaction, overseeing operational effectiveness and revenue generation, and implementing the company’s vision and growth strategies. An exemplary leader with deep industry knowledge, Smith demonstrates an innate ability to cultivate and inspire employees to deliver results that create market opportunity and drive growth.

As COO, Smith is also responsible for employee development and human resources, establishing corporate policy and procedures that promote organizational culture and values, management of programs and operational capabilities, and working closely with the CEO to develop and execute on business strategies.

Smith joined DIS in 2019 as executive vice president to lead the company’s aggressive growth strategy and business pursuits. His leadership and collaboration with teams, fueled 15 new contracts and more than $17.5 million in revenue. He is also leading the company through the rigorous International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and Capability Maturity Model Integrated (CMMI) certification processes, which assure clients that DIS meets the highest, independently audited quality standards.

Smith brings more than 30 years of experience in the public sector and commercial industries to his role as COO. Prior to joining DIS, Smith was president of Synectics for Management Decisions, Inc., where he led a team of 200 technology and research professionals in solutions delivery to federal government agencies in the health and sciences field. He led the Federal Consulting practice for Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP, and held a number of senior leadership positions at IBM and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has held executive roles serving clients to solve complex problems across a broad spectrum of consulting and technology solution offerings and is sought out for his expertise in corporate strategy, governance, large-scale program management, and technology solutions.

Currently, Smith leads the Strategic Engagement Committee as a Board Member of Virginia Tech’s MBA Advisory Board (MBAAB). He is a past Board Member of the Council of Electronic Revenue Communication Advancement that advised industry and the Internal Revenue Service in building electronic filing and advanced electronic tax administration capabilities. He is also a past Board Member of American Heart Association’s DC Heart Walk as well as Jordan Kitts Music.

Dedicated to cultivating the next generation, Smith has taught numerous courses in project management and project finance, has been a guest lecturer on e-Government concepts and practices for graduate students at Syracuse University’s School of Information Studies and has co-authored articles and white papers on a variety of government management topics.

Smith received a BS and an MBA from Virginia Tech, and he is a proud Veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
