National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
DIS developed and implemented an organizational rebranding for the National Center for Health Promotion and Disease Prevention (NCP). From psychographic segmentation study of the key audiences and stakeholders, focus groups, and internal interviews of NCP staff and leadership, DIS created a brand structure for NCP and the six evidence-based initiatives created or supported by NCP; incorporating the slogan “Healthy Living Matters. Prevention Works.” as the brand’s tag line and foundational principle of evidence-based practice. The brand’s structure included the MOVE! Weight Management Program for Veterans. As part of the rebranding, DIS designed logos for the parent brand and each of the other house brands along with an expansive set of templates for documents, presentations, promotional materials, and video as well as branded infographics and fact sheets. NCP’s web presence received a complete overhaul as part of the rebranding as well. Public and Intranet sites for NCP and MOVE! were redesigned, restructured according to the communications strategy, also defined as part of the branding effort. DIS also created a series of five motion graphics explainer videos to promote key NCP initiatives and concepts such as 3-4-50, MOVE!, Veterans Health Education and Information (VHEI), and Clinical Practice Guidelines. The 3-4-50 and MOVE! Motion graphics videos received industry awards for digital media excellence.
